Michael B. Saryan is a business lawyer with a focus on venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and commercial transactions. He has represented businesses in various stages of their lifecycles, ranging from formation-stage startups to Fortune 500 companies, in a broad range of industries, including technology, manufacturing, food and beverage, hospitality, financial services, and real estate.
Mr. Saryan’s practice includes advising companies, boards of directors, private equity and venture capital firms, and high net-worth individuals and families in public and private M&A transactions, partnership arrangements, joint ventures, public and private capital raising transactions, business litigation, corporate governance, and general business matters.
Mr. Saryan began his legal as an Associate Attorney at the Los Angeles office of Gibson Dunn, where he practiced for over half of a decade advising companies in a variety of corporate and securities transactions and representing clients in high-profile litigation matters.
After his tenure at Gibson Dunn, Mr. Saryan was a Managing Associate Attorney at the Los Angeles office of Sheppard Mullin, where he practiced business law, with a focus on advising public and private companies and private equity firms in middle-market M&A transactions.
Mr. Saryan then served as Counsel at a boutique law firm advising funds on private placements and corporate transactions with a focus on real estate funds, technology funds, EB-5 finance, and blockchain-based digital token offerings.
Prior to founding Concord Legal Group, PC, Mr. Saryan was the Partner in Charge of the Los Angeles office of Structure Law Group, LLP and served as the head of the firm’s Corporate Department. Mr. Saryan joined the firm to launch its first satellite office in Los Angeles. Under Mr. Saryan’s leadership, the firm’s Los Angeles office grew rapidly and established a presence in Southern California.
Mr. Saryan received his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego, where he received Provost’s Honors and was elected to Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society. Before embarking on his legal career, Mr. Saryan designed and engineered global command and control systems for the United States military in a classified environment as a Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman.
Mr. Saryan received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law with a specialization in Business Law and Policy. At UCLA, he was a full scholar with the Beaumont Foundation of America and was a member of the Journal of Law and Technology.
